ROOM 11 ARTISTS
Following from our trip to Mohi Bush, the children have been enjoying learning about the creatures and native birds that live in the bush. We have been busy drawing some of these using pastels. Today we painted some trees that we will use as the background for the creatures we have made.

Mohi Bush Trip

Today the Junior School experienced a bus trip to Maraetotara. We had a picnic at the Mohi Bush Reserve. Then we went on a beautiful bush walk. We used our noticing eyes and listening ears to appreciate the natural environment around us. We saw fantail, kereru, fungi, native trees, ferns, streams. We saw some traps for the predators that hurt our native bird life. Thank you to those parents who were able to come on the trip with us.

Ordering numbers to 20.

We have been practising the numbers before and after to 20 and ordering numbers from 1-20. We are getting speedy at doing this and clever at reading the numbers too.

Lentern Appeal

In Room 11 on our prayer table, we have a little purple box. This is the a special box to collect money for Lent. The money is going to the people in the Pacific Islands who don't have access to fresh, clean drinking water. If you have a few spare coins at home, the children are encouraged to bring them in and put them in the Lentern box. Thank you.
